The 148th running of the 7 day Galway Races Summer Festival will take place on the 31st of July to the 6th of August. The highlights of the week will be The Galway Plate which will take place on the 2nd of August and The Guinness Galway Hurdle Handicap on the 3rd of August with a prize fund of €300,000. On the 1st of August 2017 McHugh’s Bar will host The Galway Plate and Hurdle Charity Preview night. The Panel on the night will consist RTE presenter Tom Lee, Welsh Trainer Kerry Lee, Hayley O’Connor from Ladbrokes, Jockey Niall McCullagh, Trainer Shark Hanlon and Local Celeb John Kelly.

Kick off is at 9.45 and All are welcome.
