We are very saddened to hear of the passing of our much loved friend and Director at Irish Injured Jockeys Pat Smullen. Pat was a founding Director of Irish Injured Jockeys right from the start in 2014 and was always generous with his time and advice let it be for presentations with our supporters or representing his weigh room colleagues. His achievements as a stellar jockey are well publicised as being nine time champion jockey with the highlight being the dual Derby winners on Harzand in 2016. He bore his illness with great dignity and many will hopefully benefit from his amazing work with his Cancer Research Charity in the future.

Our deepest condolences go to Frances, Hannah, Paddy, Sarah, his Mother Mary, Brothers Sean, Ger and Brian all extended family and his many friends.

Rest in Peace Pat.
