This year’s annual Red Mills Race Day takes place on February 19, 2022

This year we are delighted to be returning in person for the Red Mills Race Day where we’ll be getting our glad rags on and celebrating in style! In addition to the Virtual Best Dressed Competition, there is also a separate Best Dressed Competition at Gowran Park on the 19th where Guest Judge, Weatherman Deric Hartigan and MC Marietta Doran will be crowning the Best Dressed racegoer on the day. All proceeds raised will be going to our charity Irish Injured Jockeys.

HOW TO ENTER ONLINE
With €3,000 worth of prizes to give away.

This year, we can’t wait to see one another in person, but we’re delighted to announce the return of our online entries, in case you can’t make it on the day. There are categories available for entry fully virtually!

STEP 1: MAKE YOUR DONATION

It is €5 per entry with all proceeds raised going to Irish Injured Jockeys. You can enter as many times as you like, in as many categories as you like – the more the merrier!

Once you’ve uploaded your entry, your image will be added to the best dressed gallery, where the public can vote to decide who the finalists will be.

Online entry closes at 12pm on Friday the 18th of February and it will be over to our Guest Judge Deric Hartigan and MC Marietta Doran to choose our lucky winners!

PRIZES FOR THE VIRTUAL EVENT:
Best Dressed Lady – Winner: a Windsor leather handbag with thanks to Fairfax & Favor, 1st runner up: a Jacket or Coat of your choice from the Welligogs range at Red Mills Store, and 2nd runner up: a product of choice from Mackenzie & George available at Red Mills Store.
Best Dressed Gent – Kindly sponsored by Schoffel.
Best Dressed Couple – Sparkling Afternoon Tea at for two at Lyrath Estate valued at €100.
Best Dressed Kid – A Smyths Toys voucher worth €100.
Dapper Dog – A Go Native Hamper worth €150.

PRIZES FOR THE GOWRAN PARK EVENT:
Winner – Overnight Bed and breakfast in the Manor House at the fabulous Mount Juliet Estate, with dinner in the Michelin starred Lady Helen restaurant, champagne on arrival and a horseriding excursion , With thanks to Mount Juliet.
1st runner up – A pair of leather Galway Boots, with thanks to Dubarry.
2nd runner up – Dinner for 2 at the Lord Bagenal Hotel in County Carlow.
