Joan Hodgins Memorial Race Supporting IIJ
Grandero Bello, trained by Eddie and Patrick Harty and ridden by Ricky Doyle was the impressive winner of the Joan Hodgins Memorial Chase at Gowran Park Saturday. The Race was sponsored by Irish Injured Jockeys in memory of Mrs Hodgins as a mark of thanks for her very generous donation to Irish Injured Jockeys
Joan Hodgins (née Wiggins)
Fondly remembered by her loving family, for her love of animals and nature. A true country woman who along with her husband Reggie successfully bred racehorses both on the flat and National Hunt. Respected and loved within the racing and sports horse community. Proof of her commitment to racing by leaving a legacy to Irish Injured Jockeys in her will.
