IIJ Donate €5000 to Treo Eile
With the announcement of the upcoming Corinthian Challenge Charity race series and to thank all owners for providing horses for the three races, Irish injured Jockeys have donated €5000 to Treo Eile in recognition of their great work with retired racehorses. Michael Higgins General Manager of IIJ approached Caren Walsh of AIRO with the intention of showing IIJ’s appreciation of owners who so generously provided horses for the Corinthian Challenge series. Michael and Caren agreed on the donation to Treo Eile as a fitting gesture.
Treo Eile is a not-for-profit providing assistance to racehorse trainers and owners who wish to rehome and retrain horses once racetrack careers are complete.
The 2023 Corinthian Challenge will see 15 riders compete in three races this year at Naas, the Curragh and Leopardstown . This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, as each rider aims to raise 10k each, this high class event is only a success as we have tremendous support and assistance from owners and trainers.
