Polo Event raises over 15k for Irish Injured Jockeys
It was an all out battle between the Trainers and the Jockeys as horse racing and polo met at the All Ireland Polo Club at the Phoenix park, Dublin on the 30th July for the Kildare Village and Curated by Design Centre All Ireland Polo Fundraiser . The day was kindly organised by Derville Meade and Aisling Kilduff with proceeds raised going to the Irish injured Jockey Fund.
The teams included well known Jockeys Rachael Blackmore, Pat Taaffe, Nina Carberry, Colin Keane, Sam Ewing, Alejo Aita Tagle and Gary Carroll while the Trainers taking part in the match included Tony Martin, Pat Taaffe, Andy McNamara, Ado McGuinness Gavin Cromwell ,Tony Mullins, Sarah Lynam, Tony Martin along with Derville Meade and Tom Berney.
The afternoon started with a bottega gold Prosecco reception followed by afternoon tea while guests enjoyed an afternoon of Polo , however the match of the afternoon was the exciting charity match where the Jockeys took on the trainers.
Irish Injured Jockeys are delighted to announce that this sold out exclusive event has raised over 15k and are extremely grateful to Derville Meade for choosing IIJ to benefit. Also to Kildare Village and Curated by Design Centre for their kind sponsorship along with the many other sponsors and those who helped organise such a unique event.
